Kia Mau, Kia Ū, Kia Maia

Kia Mau, Kia Ū, Kia Maia is a three day short course which introduces basic healthy eating and physical activity principles from a kaupapa Māori perspective. It is hands on, practical training that has been designed to provide the inspiration, information and tools to help an individual or whānau make small, sustainable healthy lifestyle changes. Practical and realistic tips are given along the way and following its completion participants receive a Te Hotu Manawa Māori Certificate of Attendance. This short course is ideal as a “lead in” to the AUT accredited training – Kai Tōtika – Korikori Tinana. District Health Boards have a vested interest in rolling these wananga out to their Māori community providers and community action projects as part of their workforce development.

This 3 day course is the ideal lead in training to the AUT accredited 9 day training.
