Ngā Hui Whakapakari

Aukati Kai Paipa 2009-2010 Training Dates

National Training

Amongst so many illnesses and diseases introduced into Aotearoa, tobacco is one of the most destructive colonial cultural products ever brought to our shores. Tobacco has always been a major driver of health inequalities, especially for Māori

It’s that time of year again when the Te Hotu Manawa Māori Aukati Kai Paipa team embarks on the next round of trainings.

For this contract year 2009/2010 we are happy to announce our agreed training dates as set below:

31 August -  4 September 2009

Champers Motor Inn, Wellington

15-19 February 2010

Champers Motor Inn, Wellington

National Training:  This training is for new kaimahi entering into the cessation sector under Aukati KaiPaipa funded by the MoH.  This is a five-day training programme where participants will engage in a variety of presentations and workshops that encompasses the core competence of cessation to confidentially and effective engage with Māori communities and the whanau to quit smoking.
