My main responsibilities are: Auahi Kore Manager with a key focus on building relationships with national Smokefree organisations to ensure we have healthy policies affecting Māori, however I especially enjoy working with our national Māori organisations who are working with our whānau, hapū and iwi.
 
I am passionate about: Reducing the smoking amongst our Māori women in particular our pregnant mothers and encouraging our rangatahi not to start! It’s about protecting our future generations – building a strong and healthy culture.
 
My vision is: TE IRA TANGATA – Unleashing the potential of our culture!
It’s about a healthy and educated culture - To see our future generations born "auahi kore - smokefree – drug-free - alcohol free" and to have the opportunity to lead successfully and proudly.
 
A key event in my calendar: To travel back to my koroua’s whenua – Aotea.

My main responsibility is: to co-ordinate and support initiatives that promotes health and well-being amongst our Māori pregnant women by way of reclaiming our traditional auahi kore status.
 
I am passionate about: supporting our Māori people in establishing and retaining their tikanga tuku iho, especially in the areas of health and education.
 
A key event in my calendar is: the forthcoming first birthday of my first mokopuna in August this year. 
 
My vision is: to contribute to reducing the rate of smoking amongst Māori wahine by reclaiming our role as Kai-tiaki of our whakapapa.
