Registrations are open for you to join Te Hotu Manawa Maori and friends at Hau Ariki Marae nestled among the vines of Martinborough, Wairarapa for an informative, action packed few days. Come and be inspired, refreshed and recharged with new and innovative ideas of what’s on and working well for our people.
It is shaping up to be another exciting hui focusing on Kaupapa Maori imperatives with confirmed keynote speaker Dr Ihirangi Heke, lecturer with the University of Otago Physical Education School, who has been a leading practitioner of Kaupapa Maori physical activity initiatives here and abroad, more keynote speakers will be announced in the coming months.

Hui Innovation Challenge
Do you have an innovative fire in your belly? Once again this year 5 prizes of $1,000 will be awarded to Maori community initiatives past, present or future that empower our Whanau to improved health through good nutrition and regular physical activity. Come and share the innovative work you have been doingf in your community and you could WIN $1,000; Winners ranged from 'Maori Tai Chi' to 'Rangatahi Outdoor Tourism Ventures' in 2009, yours could be up for 2010.

Additional Professional Development Workshop - Monday 18 October
Extend you national hui experience with a targeted professional development workshop to increase your kaupapa Maori physical activity skills and knowledge. This will be offered as a satellite workshop before the national hui begins on the 19th October. Indicate your interest on the registration form.
